Marvel Rivals Developers Address Dataminer Speculations on Leaks
Developers at Marvel Rivals have addressed concerns raised by dataminers regarding the accuracy of character leaks following the game’s launch. Danny Koo, Executive Producer at Marvel Games, remarked during an IGN interview, “[NetEase] experimented with a lot of play styles and heroes… It was like there’s someone doing scratch paperwork and then just left a notebook there.”
Koo dismissed the idea of a ten-year plan, stating: “It’d be great.”
He added that rather than misleading dataminers, they prefer to focus on actual game development: “No. We’d rather spend our time developing the actual game.”
Additionally, Weicong Wu, the Producer, noted the challenges in creating new hero designs and emphasized that information left in code might not guarantee inclusion in future updates.
The developers reassured players that their approach emphasizes fresh character introductions, aligning with the expansive Marvel Universe.
As Marvel Rivals continues to grow, players can expect more unique character additions, enhancing the game’s dynamics.
