One immediate observation when creating a character from the latest races in World of Warcraft is the vast array of customization options, overshadowing those available for older races.
For instance, if you create an undead character, you can modify the skin’s hue and jaw structure. However, newer races allow for adjustments on finer details such as fur color and eyelash style.
Blizzard has been candid about the significant differences in customization options. They have stated in a recent interview that they aim to enhance character customization for older races. In an exchange with Windows Central, Design Director Maria Hamilton mentioned the absence of a clear timeline but stressed a commitment to tackle all related issues comprehensively in future updates.
“We’ve even discussed improving character animations and things like that—what sorts of improvements we can make there. It’s down the road, though; it’s not soon.”
