Roblox Faces Another Ban from Egypt
Roblox has been banned in yet another country, this time Egypt, raising concerns about its safety for young users.
Roblox is Banned in Egypt
Roblox has officially been banned in Egypt, marking another country joining the list of nations where this popular game is prohibited. This decision was made by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation after concerns were raised by Egyptian Senator Walaa Hermas Radwandid regarding the game’s influence on children’s morals and its safety. Senator Radwandid emphasized the potential risks of children communicating with strangers within the game.
Despite the ongoing efforts by Roblox to ensure a safe environment for its young players, including revised age restrictions and communication controls, such bans bring these assurances into question. Concerns have been voiced previously about the safety of games that allow for child-adult interactions, which has become a significant issue in multiple jurisdictions.
Over the past few years, Roblox has faced similar bans in several countries, including Algeria and Russia, often due to concerns regarding content and online safety. As the game strives to comply with regulatory demands, it also assiduously works to safeguard its communities worldwide.
