Fallout Season 2 Finale: Did We Spot the Courier?

Fans are debating whether a character in the season finale of the Fallout series is the Courier from the games, sparked by a thrilling moment in the episode.

Warning: Spoilers for Fallout Season 2 Episode 8!

Reactions to the final episode of Fallout Season 2 have been mixed. Some fans enjoyed it, while others wished it resolved more storylines from Season 2.

Most fans agree on key aspects, including the tease about the new location and the reveal in the post-credits sequence, which hint at exciting developments in Fallout Season 3.

One particularly stirring moment featured an NCR sniper who eliminated a deathclaw in a scene reminiscent of the opening cinematic from Fallout: New Vegas. Here’s both sequences:

The question now arises: could this sniper be Courier 6, the character we play in Fallout: New Vegas?

It’s a compelling theory, considering only a skilled character could take down a deathclaw with such precision. The sniper’s identity, however, remains ambiguous. Fans also noted that the character wasn’t wearing a Pip-Boy, which the Courier would have used to monitor quests.

Thus, with various interpretations, some suggest it could be ‘Schrödinger’s Sniper’—a talented marksman whose identity might not be fully resolved within the narrative.

While the anecdotal evidence leaves us questioning, we may just have to wait for more revelations in future episodes.
