Poker Night at the Inventory Returns in March After a Seven-Year Hiatus

Skunkape Games is reviving Poker Night at the Inventory with updated visuals and returning unlockables from Team Fortress 2.

Following a seven-year absence, Poker Night at the Inventory is set to make its comeback in March, and with it, the beloved free unlockables from Team Fortress 2.

This unexpected remaster is being developed by Skunkape Games, the same team that revived Telltale’s iconic Sam and Max series.

The original Poker Night at the Inventory offered humorous interactions featuring characters such as Max from Sam and Max, the Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and others.

The remastered version promises enhanced visuals, fixes to the underlying poker mechanics, new unlockable items, and numerous quality of life improvements. Players can expect to see both nostalgic content and new features when it releases on March 5.

The original game had a price tag of about $5, making it accessible and fun for players to enjoy for a few hours. This new iteration will be available for around $10, which is seen as a fair price for a remaster after 16 years.

Excitement is building among fans, especially with the chance to earn those coveted TF2 unlockables once more.

“IT’S CONFIRMED THE TF2 UNLOCKS ARE COMING BACK TOO LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO!” - a fan tweeted on February 4, 2026. Translation: It’s confirmed that the TF2 unlocks are returning; let’s go!

For those eager to get back into action or claim their favorite TF2 items, Poker Night at the Inventory will be available for wishlist on Steam.
