As gaming continues to grapple with the challenge of cheaters, Arc Raiders is making formidable strides to ensure fair play. The developers are intensifying their fight against cheaters by modifying Steam Family Sharing protocols.
When users exploit shared licenses, it has been a longstanding issue that detracts from the gaming experience for many. The community manager at Embark, Ossen, noted:
“In our ongoing continuous efforts to make Arc Raiders a more fair experience for all raiders, we have just made changes to how Steam Family Sharing works for suspended accounts.”
This new measure dictates that if an account is penalized, every associated account via Family Sharing will automatically face restrictions as well, effectively preventing these users from bypassing bans.
With these modifications, Embark aims to foster a gaming environment rooted in skill and teamwork, making sure that fair play reigns supreme. This initiative underscores a trend where developers are increasingly addressing such issues to restore integrity in their games.
