In the latest discussion around the Fallout series, Kyle MacLachlan, known for his role in Twin Peaks, expressed his excitement about stepping into the T-60 power armor, calling it “a thrill.” He described the experience of wearing it as heavy but empowering, suggesting it feels as if one can do almost anything while suited up. MacLachlan, who portrays Hank MacLean, noted that it was an impressive piece of equipment that added a significant weight—about 50 to 60 pounds for the top half.
“I gotta tell you, it is such a thrill to have the power armor on. I got to wear it in Season 1, and now again, in Season 2. It’s heavy, but you do feel like you can do just about anything.”
Translation: This feeling of power is what the series aims to capture with this iconic gear.
Another cast member, Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus, shared similar sentiments about the armor’s practical aspect, emphasizing it not only looks great but is also functional for the series’ action scenes. He highlighted the armor’s material, stating it can’t be too light if it’s to withstand the rigorous action scenes expected in the show.
The helmet and armor allow the actors to physically embody their characters, enhancing their performances and the audience’s viewing experience.
