Fortnite Players Accuse Game of Using AI-Generated Art: 'I’m Done With This Game'

Fortnite's latest chapter has sparked a major controversy as players suspect the use of AI-generated art, leading to widespread dissatisfaction.

After the recent conclusion of Fortnite’s popular Simpsons-themed mini-season, players are expressing dissatisfaction regarding the game’s new chapter, suspecting it features AI-generated art.

One of the main complaints arose from a poster depicting a yeti lounging in a hammock, which has notably nine toes, highlighting the ongoing issues with AI art representation, especially with hands and feet. Players are also calling attention to other advertisements and illustrations that exhibit the characteristic blur commonly associated with AI-generated visuals, such as an anime-style depiction reminiscent of Studio Ghibli aesthetics.

A Reddit user summarizes the frustration by stating: “The real question I’m surprised nobody has thrown at Sweeney, if AI can do a lot of the hard work, why don’t we just replace him with AI?”
