Styx: Blades of Greed Delayed to 2026

The upcoming Styx game release has been postponed to February 2026, allowing developers time for improvements.

The new Styx title (yes, a new game is in the works) was originally scheduled for release by the end of 2025. As December has rolled in, the developers have announced it’s not ready yet.

Styx: Blades of Greed will now launch on February 19, 2026. This short delay is intended to allow the team at Cyanide to “polish everything up, tweak the bits that need tweaking,” ensuring the beloved goblin character’s return meets expectations.

For reference, Shaun Prescott, a dedicated fan of Styx, highlighted the review scores for previous titles, with Master of Shadows and Shards of Darkness both earning upper 70s ratings.

This delay provides a good opportunity for gamers to revisit earlier Styx games, especially since Master of Shadows and Shards of Darkness are currently discounted in GOG’s Cyber Monday sale.
