Where Winds Meet is introducing an innovative vehicle crafting mechanic that echoes the Ultrahand ability from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This RPG has gained significant traction since its initial launch, amassing a wealth of in-game content while being a free-to-play title.
Players were already satisfied with the game’s offerings, as evidenced by breaking the 2 million player milestone on its first day on Steam. Developer Everstone Studios aims to keep this momentum with continuous updates and substantial enhancements.
The new mechanic, named “Ink Structure,” is currently exclusive to China. It allows players to assemble various components to create vehicles, a feature that is expected to significantly alter gameplay once it becomes globally available.
While the name and nature of the mechanic draw parallels to existing crafting systems, like the Ultrahand in Zelda, players are likely to explore more creative applications as the mechanic becomes accessible worldwide. Ink Structure not only facilitates new ways for players to navigate the in-game world but also introduces collectibles with unique powers that will be scattered across the landscape.
Moreover, Ink Structure supports multiplayer by allowing users to share the blueprints of their creations. Future updates are in the pipeline for Where Winds Meet, including performance enhancements and better compatibility for platforms like the Steam Deck.
