Significant Update Introduces 'Living Ship' Mechanics in Pirate FPS

The pirate-themed FPS 'Davy x Jones' has undergone a major update that adds new gameplay elements, including a living ship called Abby and naval battles.

Forget the clichés of pirates in literature, as Davy x Jones sets sail into a new realm of gameplay with its recent update. This significant enhancement not only expands the game’s universe but introduces players to a unique experience involving a living ship named Abby, a fusion of rustic wood and a whimsical space whale that astounds players and redefines nautical conflicts.

Previously launched in August, Davy x Jones is a roguelike FPS where you guide a headless pirate navigating the perilous underworld alongside the quirky skull companion Davy.

This latest update significantly broadens the game, introducing a second play mode that allows adventurers to command the living ship as they traverse the underworld. The game also unveils naval battles against other ghost ships and teams you up with spectral allies who contribute distinct capabilities to combat. Further enhancements include engaging boss confrontations against formidable foes, leading to dynamic strategic gameplay.

Additionally, the update revamps first-person combat with enhanced melee systems, improved enemy AI, and a redesigned skill tree tailored to support the new crew dynamic. Note for existing players: save files may become incompatible due to these dramatic changes. For a limited time, new players can grab Davy x Jones at a 20% discount, reducing the purchase price to $14.39.
