Fortnite Chapter 7 Introduces New Features While Removing Popular Game Modes

Epic Games has launched Chapter 7 of Fortnite, which brings new content but also temporarily takes away four beloved game modes.

Fortnite has commenced its seventh Chapter, but it has momentarily eliminated four much-loved game modes. Chapter 6 had been a staple for a year, allowing players to familiarize themselves with the map, weapons, and many unique features. Enthusiasts of the game had actively followed the quests revolving around the ongoing Jones and Hope narrative since Chapter 5. With the closure of Chapter 6 through an impressive live event that attracted over 13 million participants, players were anticipating new adventures in Chapter 7.

Chapter 7 Season 1 introduces Pacific Break, unveiling 13 fresh named locations along with innumerable landmarks to explore. The iconic Battle Bus has been destroyed, compelling players to navigate the new island by riding the waves and uncovering points of interest (POIs) as swiftly as possible. The vibrant Pacific Break map showcases a variety of terrains that cater to all playstyles—from arid deserts to snowy mountain tops.

Currently, players are left with two primary modes to play: Save the World and Battle Royale. The temporarily removed modes include Ranked, Reload, Blitz Royale, and Fortnite OG, which were solidified in the game due to overwhelming popularity. However, these beloved modes are set to return in early December, giving players just a brief pause before they can re-engage with their favorites.

While this transition might be disappointing for enthusiasts, it presents an opportunity to enjoy the new features and characters introduced in Chapter 7.
