
The Game Awards are almost upon us, typically filled with a whirlwind of announcements and surprises from the gaming industry. This year, the highly anticipated Most Anticipated Game award sees The Witcher 4 in the running, a significant project from CD Projekt Red. While excitement brews for what could unfold, the co-CEO of CD Projekt, Michał Nowakowski, announced that there will be no additional surprises or new content being revealed at this year’s show. As he expressed on a social media platform, they remain grateful for the nomination but have nothing further to share at this time.

Current Development Status
The game is in full-scale production, and CD Projekt reassured fans during their recent earnings call that while the game won’t launch before 2026, they aim for a more expedited rollout of subsequent entries in the Witcher saga. Nowakowski mentioned, “We plan to launch the entire new trilogy within six years of Witcher 4’s release—shortening development times is a key goal.”
