After a Decade, Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege Finally Adds Achievements to Steam

Ubisoft has finally integrated Steam achievements into its game Rainbow Six Siege, a decade after its initial release.

Ubisoft has finally caught up on adding Steam achievements for its game Rainbow Six Siege, which has been a long-awaited feature for players. After ten years since its initial release, the announcement came with news that all existing achievements on Ubisoft Connect would be retroactively unlocked on Steam.

The low-key announcement stated, “We are pleased to announce that Steam Achievements are now available for Rainbow Six Siege!” Ubisoft confirmed that players won’t have to redo any previous accomplishments; those achievements will be granted automatically the next time the game is accessed.

Background Info

Ubisoft has been criticized in the past for delaying achievements in its older games, and with this latest move, it seems to be addressing its historical shortcomings. The company had previously ventured into exclusivity with the Epic Games Store but has since returned to Steam, feeling the pressure to enhance its offerings.

This step back into Steam’s ecosystem marks a significant move for Rainbow Six Siege players and achievement hunters alike, adding a new layer of entertainment to an already engaging game experience.
