Pokemon Legends: Z-A Update Addresses Mega Stone Issue

The latest patch for Pokemon Legends: Z-A resolves an issue with Mega Stone rewards that affected players during the ranked battles of Season 2.

The version 1.0.3 patch for Pokemon Legends: Z-A has been launched, rectifying a bug introduced with Season 2 that previously blocked players from receiving their Mega Stone rewards in ranked battles. When Pokemon Legends: Z-A debuted, immediate online multiplayer support was available, initiating Season 1 of competitive ranked battles, which included the Greninjite reward to unlock Mega Greninja. This was earned upon reaching Rank K, an achievement requiring several hours of play.

However, changes implemented during Season 2, which began on November 5, shifted the ranked rewards to Greninjite at Rank Y and Delphoxite at Rank S, subsequently simplifying the acquisition of these Mega Stones. Yet, a bug inadvertently emerged, thwarting some players from obtaining these stones. Participants who had secured Greninjite in Season 1 faced issues in Season 2, as did others awaiting the Delphoxite. Thankfully, today’s patch addresses this problem for affected players.

Players can now download Ver. 1.0.3 directly upon booting their console, which generally takes under a minute. For those impacted by the bug, the steps to reclaim their Mega Stones include:

  1. Start your Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. If it’s on, simply navigate to Pokemon Legends: Z-A to commence the download.
  2. Launch the game once the patch is fully installed.
  3. Inside the game, select the menu, and then proceed to Link Play.
  4. Access Ranked Battles, which connects you online and shows the missing Mega Stones as part of the rewards.

Additionally, Season 3 rewards are now available, offering:

  • Chesnaughtite - Rank S
  • Delphoxite - Rank V
  • Greninjite - Rank Y

In case players missed the chance to obtain any Mega Stones from ranked play, they can now earn the Season 2 end-of-season rewards, which include Dream Balls for those reaching Rank K or higher after Season 2’s conclusion.

Lastly, that particular glitch involving shiny hunting Alpha Pokemon in Wild Zone 20 remains unaffected by Version 1.0.3, allowing fans to rejoice as they continue to utilize this technique alongside various creative strategies in their gameplay.
