As the Season 1 rollout for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 approaches, Treyarch’s design director, Matt Scronce, has shared insights into upcoming changes.

Key Adjustments

  • Aim Assist: Acknowledging the ongoing discussions, Scronce stated, “Aim assist is a big conversation and we are closely monitoring that,” with plans to enhance its strength over longer distances.
  • Spawn Logic Modifications: The team is reworking the spawn locations to enhance gameplay experience. Discussions are focusing on Free-for-All and Team Deathmatch modes.
  • Drone Pod Nerf: Changes are also anticipated in relation to drone pods, with potential for reducing their flight speed or quantity to balance gameplay.

Additional Changes

Other alterations include an improved visible range on the default minimap and several updates aimed at enhancing game stability. As always, player feedback will play a critical role in the final adjustments made before the season launches.
