Fatshark Marks 10 Years with New Vermintide 2 Map Update

Fatshark revamps a classic map for Vermintide 2 to celebrate its tenth anniversary, introducing new gameplay elements.

Fatshark recently celebrated the tenth anniversary of “Warhammer—End Times: Vermintide” by reintroducing one of its most beloved maps into “Vermintide 2.” The map, titled “Return to the Reik,” offers players a chance to revisit iconic locations from the original game but with significant updates.

Unlike a simple port, this new iteration enhances gameplay with boat-focused combat and additional challenges in the surrounding woods, suggesting new threats beyond the familiar Skaven enemies. The previous DLC containing this map was met with mixed reviews, but Fatshark believes this revamped version will capture the interest of both new and returning players.

The studio’s commitment to continuing support for Vermintide 2 is clear, with this new addition available to players at no cost, echoing Fatshark’s intention to prioritize enhancing current titles over developing sequels.
