Within the first 24 hours of launch, Where Winds Meet reached a player milestone of over 2 million. Since then, player numbers have increased to 15 million within China alone, and growth continues in Western regions with its free-to-play model and expansive Wuxia-themed world. However, the game is not without its issues, and Everstone is actively addressing these through post-launch updates.

Players logging in will receive 10 Lingering Melody, the in-game premium currency, along with enhanced rewards from the Swords Unseen event. The studio has acknowledged feedback on the game’s launch which has shaped ongoing improvements, including addressing lag and network connectivity problems, particularly in Solo Mode, with a fix scheduled for a mid-December update. Enhancements to user interface, character customization, beginner tutorials, and puzzle-solving hints are also underway.

Future Updates

Fans can expect more updates aimed at improving translation and multilingual localization, alongside upgraded frame rates and stability for PlayStation 5 users. Compatibility improvements for Where Winds Meet on Steam Deck are also on the horizon, with several updates planned for the upcoming months to refine the overall gaming experience.
