Enhancing Conquest: A Fresh Take on Battlefield 6's Gameplay

A Battlefield 6 player shares a novel idea to diversify the Conquest game mode by incorporating elements from the REDSEC map.

One Battlefield 6 player proposes that the Conquest game mode might benefit from the inclusion of the REDSEC map, particularly the area known as Fort Lyndon, which features various locations that could enhance the gameplay experience. Despite some players in the Battlefield 6 community expressing concerns about the feasibility of this idea, the concept has sparked significant discussion and interest.

Initially, Battlefield 6 released with several game modes including Conquest, where teams of 32 compete to capture objective points. Since then, additional content has entered the game, especially with the launch of the free-to-play battle royale mode, REDSEC. While opinions on REDSEC remain mixed, there is a belief that the content could be transferrable to other modes.

The Reddit user proposing this suggestion stressed that while they aren’t advocating for a single round to cover the entirety of Fort Lyndon, implementing smaller segments could allow more players to experience it while also providing a more vast terrain for aerial maneuvers.

Reactions within the community reveal a mix of excitement and skepticism. Supporters have vocalized their enthusiasm for tweaking the existing maps, whereas many believe it might be a challenging adaptation due to potential optimization issues for various game types. Currently, some elements of the REDSEC map are available in Battlefield 6’s Portal, with players reporting latency and player density issues.

Looking ahead, an update is on the horizon, slated for December 9, which is expected to introduce the Ice Lock Empire State map. Players continue to remain hopeful about future content enhancements for Battlefield 6.
