YouTuber Claims Videos on Windows 11 Bypass Removed for Supposedly Dangerous Content

A YouTuber alleges that two of their videos showcasing how to bypass Windows 11's local account and hardware requirements were taken down for violating content policies.

Maybe it’s time to explore Linux.

YouTuber CyberCPU Tech has revealed that their videos demonstrating ways to bypass Windows 11’s requirements were removed from YouTube due to automated content guidelines.

In two days, two videos highlighting methods to install Windows 11 without a Microsoft account were allegedly flagged for promoting harmful content. CyberCPU claimed that both appeals were swiftly denied, with one appeal getting rejected in just 45 minutes.

CyberCPU Tech stated, “I had mentioned before I didn’t think Microsoft had any involvement. But now, I believe they are fully responsible for this.” There’s a noteworthy trend of tech YouTubers self-censoring their content due to unclear community standards, leaving creators uncertain about what topics are deemed appropriate.

For those still looking to customize their PC experience, tools like Rufus remain available despite Microsoft’s increasing restrictions on workarounds.
