PS5 Controller Issues Arise for Battlefield 6 Players on PC
PC players of Battlefield 6 are facing controller issues that affect gameplay, with a developer acknowledging it and promising a fix soon.
Players of Battlefield 6 on PC are reporting significant issues when using PlayStation 5 controllers. The developer behind Battlefield 6 has recognized this issue and confirmed that a solution is in progress.
While gameplay remains largely intact, gamers are encountering smaller glitches that the developers, Battlefield Studios, are expected to address shortly. One particularly disruptive issue allows players to ride drones into the sky, which continues to frustrate users without any fixes currently announced.
Deadzones and Compatibility Problems
Some players have mentioned that the game suffers from severe deadzone problems while using PS5 controllers, making precise adjustments during aiming especially challenging. Julian Manolov, the combat developer, explained, “We have a low-level compatibility issue with the Sony controllers on PC right now - the deadzones you feel (it’s actually 10% stick range cut) are being applied before the game’s deadzones support.”
Manolov also added that these issues do not arise when using an Xbox controller, providing an alternative for PC gamers who prefer not to use mouse and keyboard. The choice between playing Battlefield 6 with a controller or mouse and keyboard is ultimately a matter of personal preference, but a fix for the PS5 controller problem should be arriving soon.
The upcoming months will be critical for Battlefield 6 as the newly launched RedSec battle royale mode has received mixed feedback, coupled with Battlefield 6’s Season 1 updates. This timeframe will greatly influence the game’s longevity in the gaming community.
