As of close of the day on October 29, 2025, Borderlands 4 players have a limited window of 48 hours to utilize three new SHiFT codes announced via a tweet from Gearbox’s CEO, Randy Pitchford. Each of these codes grants one Golden Key, which can be redeemed at any major hub within Borderlands 4 to unlock exclusive loot.

Golden Keys are extremely valuable in Borderlands 4 since they provide players with chances to obtain high-tier Legendary items. When players redeem a Golden Key, they receive 8 pieces of gear, typically ranging from Epic to Legendary quality.
