“It’s like a meteor coming to this planet. We gotta be prepared to deal with it in all of its complexity.”
Sanders elaborated on how AI might reshape economic structures, raising alarms about its impact on communities and interpersonal relationships:
“I worry about that. How we continue community, how we relate to each other as human beings.”
He criticized the motivations behind investments in AI and robotics, stating,
“The richest guys in this world are investing huge amounts of money into AI and robotics. And if you think that they give a damn about the needs of working-class people, you would be mistaken.”
