Atlus has officially mentioned Persona 6 in a recent survey, after years of keeping fans in suspense. The questionnaire hints at multiple new games, although they seem less assured compared to Persona 6. This brand has a significant weight among its peers, as indicated in the survey sent to owners of the recent Persona 3 Reload Switch 2 version. Specifically, question number 29 invites respondents to list the Persona titles they are anticipating, with Persona 6 among the listed options.
“期待すること (kitai suru koto)” - this phrase translates to “to expect” in English, reflecting the essence of the survey’s inquiries. While it does not confirm that any of the mentioned titles are in development, it gauges the hopes of fans for future releases.
Earlier, Persona 6 was confirmed to be in development in July 2021 through job postings by Atlus, where Executive Producer Naoto Hiraoka expressed the company’s ambition to exceed the benchmarks set by Persona 5, acknowledging the challenges posed with the current team.
When Could Persona 6 Be Announced?
The next significant chance for an announcement could be at The Game Awards in December 2025, but they might also opt for a dedicated reveal event like they did for Persona 5 back in 2013.
Additionally, Persona 6 is expected to launch across multiple platforms, following a trend set by recent entries in the series.
