Ubisoft has reported strong pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, indicating solid numbers comparable to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, a game that achieved significant success within the franchise, according to CEO Frederick Duguet.

Despite facing some challenges, including delays and public backlash, the company remains optimistic about the game’s upcoming release on March 20, 2025. In their Q3 2024-2025 financial report, Ubisoft noted the pre-orders are in line with those of the franchise’s previous successful titles. “Positive previews that highlight the immersive world, stunning graphics and variety of gameplay brought by the dual-protagonist approach,” Duguet stated.

Duguet further highlighted that while initial pre-order figures can be encouraging, the bulk of the pre-order period still lies ahead, and significant developments may still occur.
