During the recent Halo World Championship esports event, a new project from Halo Studios was anticipated to be announced. However, the Xbox Store prematurely revealed Halo: Campaign Evolved, marking the second remake of the classic Halo: Combat Evolved, which originally received a remake in 2011. The Xbox Store describes this new edition as a ‘faithful yet modernized’ remake, promising enhanced visuals, updated cinematics, and improved controls. Additionally, the remake will incorporate three new prequel missions featuring characters like Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson.

Although there’s currently no fixed release date, the trailer indicates that the game will be available on Steam and PlayStation 5. As the 25th anniversary of Halo: Combat Evolved approaches in 2026, fans are eagerly anticipating this remake.
