Celebrating a Decade of 'Tide: New Developments in Darktide and Vermintide 2

Fatshark reflects on ten years of game development, announcing upcoming features for Darktide and Vermintide 2.

It’s been a decade since Fatshark introduced Vermintide, a franchise engaging players in the Warhammer universe, now evolving with fresh updates.

In a recent announcement, they revealed that Darktide will receive another new class shortly after the introduction of the Arbitrator. The specifics will be disclosed on November 11. Notably, a significant update for Darktide is scheduled for December 2, promising an exciting new mission set in the trenches of Atoma along with a time-limited special event.

Vermintide 2 isn’t being left behind, as it gears up to deliver another free map called ‘Return to the Reik’ on November 20, echoing themes from the original game’s ‘Death on the Reik’ DLC. This new addition will feature dynamic boat navigation and encounters that create a cooperative cinematic experience.

Additionally, ongoing events in Vermintide 2 will continue, introducing seasonal-flavored content during the Halloween period with Geheimnisnacht, and the festive spirit will return in December with the Gifts of the Wolf Father event.

Darktide may also see a price cut, currently at 60% off for the Warhammer Day celebration, alongside the release of a Definitive Edition for Dawn of War, which is available at a 20% discount.
