Neither EA nor DICE has declared when players can try out the much-anticipated Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6. However, fresh leaks suggest that the studios may aim to surprise fans with its launch coinciding with Season 1 on October 28. Previously, this release date was hinted at by an industry insider, but now a Battlefield 6 data miner has discovered references to an unusual content release through the EA Play app for the coming week.

Season 1 of Battlefield 6 is scheduled to commence next week. Although there’s been no official confirmation regarding a Battle Royale mode accompanying the update, EA and DICE have shared extensive insights about the various updates for the game, which will unfold in three significant patches. The first will drop on October 28, followed by another on November 18, before concluding with the last update for the season on December 9.
Back in September, insider ModernWarzone pointed to the potential release timeline for Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale mode being the end of October. This date was then narrowed down to October 28 when EA gave further insights into the game’s Season 1 update. While this info has yet to be verified by EA, additional evidence has emerged from data miner Onebattlefield, who has located backend references in the EA Play app mentioning content slated for October 28.
It appears increasingly likely that this mode will launch without prior notice on October 28, following a similar strategy utilized during Call of Duty: Warzone’s launch in 2020. However, fans should remain cautious and await official confirmation from EA or DICE. One of the key features expected from the mode is Battlefield 6’s innovative twist on traditional battle royale games, branded as the “deadliest ring” in the battle royale genre. Unlike other games where players use the storm circle strategically, this mode will eliminate players instantly upon entering the area.
Additionally, a recent leak revealed that the Battlefield 6 battle royale mode might include the typical options such as Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads, along with a unique Gauntlet mode in which squads will tackle various missions, with the lowest-scoring teams getting eliminated per mission. The last team standing will emerge victorious.
