Cards Against Humanity Reaches Settlement with SpaceX Over $15 Million Lawsuit

Cards Against Humanity has settled a lawsuit against SpaceX with backers receiving cards about Elon Musk instead of a cash payout.

Cards Against Humanity has come to a settlement regarding the $15 million lawsuit it filed against SpaceX and Elon Musk. Although SpaceX acknowledged trespassing on the land owned by Cards Against Humanity, the company opted for a settlement instead of a costly trial.

The lawsuit began when SpaceX allegedly used land purchased by Cards Against Humanity for building materials without permission. Rather than cashing out, the backers of the game will receive a new card set themed around Musk, as they stated, “This holiday season… don’t give Donald Trump a f***ing cent.”

According to an AP report, the settlement was agreed upon just before the case was slated for trial, with Cards Against Humanity stating that a direct confrontation would have incurred greater expenses than they could possibly recuperate from a court ruling.
