Blizzard Addresses Tank Overload in World of Warcraft Legion Remix with Health and Damage Adjustments

Blizzard is making adjustments to Legion Remix in World of Warcraft, increasing the health and damage of healers and DPS to counteract an overwhelming number of tank players.

World of Warcraft Legion Remix—Blizzard’s experiment with past expansions—aims to tackle the overwhelming tank presence in the game. Players are now seeing a remarkable increase in health and damage for healers and DPS roles to provide balance.
In the ‘Remix’ events, players create characters transported to a reimagined version of previous expansions, allowing extreme power scaling thanks to assistance from the Infinite Dragonflight.

While this leads to a top-heavy ratio of tank classes—due to their high damage resistances—the adjustments aim to restore equilibrium in gameplay. Healers and DPS characters can expect a 10% damage boost, 33% reduction in damage taken, and a substantial 100% increase in total health.

As these changes are meant to be temporary, they are designed to enhance the limited-time event experience without necessitating substantial system overhauls. Despite the potential for lock-in syndrome over the next three months, players will likely find a reward in increased survivability, especially for those affected by prior gameplay imbalances.
