Capcom has announced the first details regarding the post-launch support for Monster Hunter Wilds. The first free title update will introduce Mizutsune, a serpentine leviathan that first appeared in Monster Hunter: Generations in 2015. Mizutsune skipped Monster Hunter World but reappeared in 2021’s Monster Hunter Rise.
In addition to introducing Mizutsune, the update will also feature event quests and other additional updates, although specifics about the latter remain ambiguous at this time.
Capcom has indicated that a second free title update is slated for summer 2025, which is expected to include another new monster and additional event quests.
Following the game’s release on February 27, fans can look forward to more discussions about upcoming updates and potential smaller patches in between substantial content additions.
