Treyarch has confirmed that significant updates are in store for the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 following the feedback from its recent beta test. Fans were surprised by the early release of the standalone beta this October, which provided insights into gameplay adjustments that will be implemented ahead of the game’s official launch on November 14.
Key Changes to Zombies
The developer disclosed some of the main updates:
- Enhancements for high-round gameplay focusing on skill.
- Introduction of a unique HUD specifically for Zombies.
- Allowing players to carry over some items from Black Ops 6.
- A nerf to the Sawblade Trap to reduce spamming.
- Close-range damage boosts for SMGs.
- Adjustments to weapon damage for improved balance.
Treyarch’s focus remains on refining high-round competition, shifting gameplay dynamics towards strategic planning rather than purely surviving overwhelming enemy forces. Following community feedback, modifications will also restrict the return of certain powerful enemies from previous titles. Cursed mode, set for release contingent on player progression, is touted to present severe challenges without the aid of Golden Armor, indicating a tougher gaming experience ahead.
Full details and updates will be available as the launch date approaches.
