Battlefield 6's Slow Progression is Set for Major Changes, At a Cost

Significant updates are coming to Battlefield 6's progression system, but the Portal mode will face consequences as a result.

Updates to Battlefield 6’s progression systems, known for being painfully slow, are on the horizon. Notably, the experience needed to level up weapons will be reduced, almost doubling the speed of earning important attachments.

Moreover, the career rank requirements for accessing assignments will decrease significantly, enhancing player progression. However, much to the chagrin of many, the changes will affect the Portal mode, which has been popular among players for its various experiences.

“Our goal is to make the progression feel smoother and more rewarding while preserving the sense of achievement in completing milestones, such as mastering a weapon,” stated Battlefield Studios.

This overhaul promises to expedite the unlocking of vital game components and refine the gameplay experience overall, addressing long-standing player concerns.
