The initial DLC for Lies of P was revealed during today’s State of Play event.

Lies of P fans will return to the beginning of the Puppet Frenzy, with a new prequel expansion titled Lies of P: Overture. Set to launch this summer, the expansion will allow players to explore the events leading up to the original game.

This game loosely draws inspiration from The Adventures of Pinocchio, placing players in the role of the notably untrustworthy puppet in a dark world filled with peculiar enemies.

“We knew that the end of Lies of P was just the beginning for what our team had in store for fans,” stated Jiwon Choi, game director at Round8 Studio. “Lies of P: Overture allows us the opportunity to fully explore the past and present of our universe. We are grateful for our community’s patience as our team took the time to tell the story we’ve always wanted to share.”

A specific release date is yet to be disclosed, but Lies of P: Overture is available for wishlisting on Steam now.
