Netflix's Animated Series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Confirmed for Second Season
The animated series, which premiered recently, has already received approval for its second season.
Netflix’s latest animated release, Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, made quite the impression since its launch on Tuesday, garnering immediate approval for a second season by Wednesday.
While many fans celebrate this swift renewal, Ubisoft continues to keep gamers waiting for an anticipated new Splinter Cell game, with the last installment, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, having been released in 2013. Despite Ubisoft confirming their work on a remake of the original Splinter Cell, updates have been scarce over recent years.
Guillaume Dousse, who directed Splinter Cell: Blacklist, has been tapped as the supervising producer for Deathwatch’s second season, while also directing its premiere episode. Dousse, a long-time aficionado of the franchise, shared that although he wished he could provide more information on the next game in the series, he currently lacks the clearance to do so.
Fans are left wondering; will we see new adventures with Sam Fisher soon? While awaiting the next installment, they can enjoy the current series, particularly praised for its brisk pacing and engaging episodes, despite some missing elements of classic stealth gameplay.
