Battlefield 6 Hits Record Sales in Initial Days

Sales for Battlefield 6 have soared, surpassing previous titles from EA and leading to impressive concurrent player counts.

Battlefield 6 has officially launched and within five days of its release, it has achieved record-breaking sales similar to those seen with Call of Duty titles. The long-anticipated game has crossed more than 7 million copies sold across all platforms, resulting in significant revenue for EA.

Initial figures show that Battlefield 6 has surpassed prior EA shooters, beginning with concurrent player counts exceeding 520,000 on Steam—far outpacing competitors like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which peaked at just 99,000.

**Sales Breakdown:

  • 56.7% on Steam
  • 23.7% on PS5
  • 19.6% on Xbox Series**

On launch day alone, the game generated over $100 million in sales via Steam with 1.8 million copies sold. In terms of daily active users, the game remained steady with around 2.3 million to 2.5 million users each day since its debut, and even reached 865,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch during promotional campaigns.

Despite these successes, there have been some initial technical issues with the EA App on launch day, but EA has addressed these concerns and offered compensations to affected players.

These statistics signify a bright future for Battlefield 6, especially as new content is expected with the upcoming Season 1 launching on October 28. This should help retain its player base against the looming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on November 14.
