According to the leak, Gen 10 Pokemon games will reportedly be titled Pokemon Winds and Waves and will unfold in a region inspired by Southeast Asia and Indonesia. The primary theme of this generation is said to focus on “infinity,” and it will be exclusive to the Switch 2.
Generation 11 Pokemon Games Target 2030 Release
Another noteworthy piece of information from the leak shared by Centro Leaks suggests that Gen 11 Pokemon games are slated for 2030, assuming Nintendo adheres to its planned timelines. This aligns with the patterns observed in previous releases: Gen 8’s Pokemon Sword and Shield debuted in 2019, while Gen 9’s Scarlet and Violet launched in late 2022. Following this trajectory, it is likely that Gen 10 could launch in 2026, leading into Gen 11 in 2030.

Fans should not be discouraged by the potential five-year wait for Gen 11, as Gen 10 appears to be just around the corner. Leaks suggest that Pokemon Winds and Waves could be fully unveiled at Pokemon Day in February 2026, with a possible release date later in that same year or in early 2027.
Starter Pokemon
Additionally, Gen 10 may introduce the concept of “infinite” islands, whereby basic Pokemon will evolve into an array of variations, potentially transforming the gameplay experience.
In the meantime, gamers can enjoy existing Pokemon titles as they await the arrival of generations 10 and 11. Pokemon Legends: Z-A is set to be released on October 16, featuring Mega Evolutions and set in Lumiose City within the Kalos region. Unlike traditional games, Pokemon Legends: Z-A will incorporate real-time battles.
