Minecraft’s Mounts of Mayhem update, the fourth of the year, is now available for testing. While specifics on the features are still emerging, players can already participate in new gameplay experiences including the introduction of the Spear weapon and a previously unknown enchantment called Lunge. This enchantment boosts speed during combat and helps in traversing the environment more quickly, conserving hunger while exploring.

Additionally, players can now tame and ride Nautilus, a new aquatic companion, alongside a zombified counterpart. This exciting feature allows for more dynamic ocean exploration, although the current testing is limited to the Java Edition with plans for a Bedrock release forthcoming. The new mechanics promise to enhance the player’s experience and will surely change gameplay dynamics for the community.
