Unleash Chaos and Feast on Brains in Duke Nukem: Horror Castle—A Creepy Mod for Halloween

This new mod transforms Duke Nukem's adventures into a Halloween-themed experience filled with spooky enemies and unique gameplay mechanics.

If you’re a devoted fan of Duke Nukem 3D yearning for some Halloween thrills, I’ve got something for you. Duke Nukem: Horror Castle reimagines the classic hero’s escapades, replacing the sci-fi elements with a spine-chilling adventure.

Created by modder WilliamGee, Horror Castle offers a sprawling nine-level campaign, delivering between 3 to 5 hours of added gameplay. This isn’t merely a collection of levels; the mod introduces 24 new adversaries, including wandering skeletons, vampire bats, and bloodthirsty creatures reminiscent of Nosferatu—complete with four minibosses that players can shrink and crush.

Additionally, Duke gains four new weapons, killing foes with skeletal shrapnel from the Bone Crusher and summoning enormous spiders to fight on his behalf. Instead of conventional health kits, players can restore their vitality by smashing open skulls—definitely a unique twist!
