EA has recently addressed significant access issues that prevented many players who pre-ordered Battlefield 6 from launching the game on its release day. To make amends, EA is offering free battle passes and XP boosts as a gesture of apology.
On the launch day, EA’s app encountered various glitches that hindered player access to the game, leading to frustration. EA stated, “Today, we experienced an outage on the EA app that prevented some of our players who pre-ordered Battlefield 6 from accessing the game. We know this can be frustrating so we wanted to offer an apology… with perks.”
Affected players are reported to have received 24 in-game experience boosts and will later gain free access to Season One of Battlefield 6’s battle pass. Additionally, those who purchased the premium “Phantom” edition will receive the Season Two battle pass for free as well.
Despite the initial setbacks, Battlefield 6’s launch was generally well-received, featuring robust PC performance and manageable login queues. Zampella even suggested players worried about the EA app issues consider refunding their purchase and opting for a version on Steam instead, highlighting the negative experiences many users have encountered with the EA app.
