Throwback Strategy Game 'Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era' Delayed to 2026, but a Free Demo is Available Now
The classic turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will be released later than expected, now targeting 2026. A demo is currently available on Steam for players to try out.
Good news, bad news.
The upcoming title, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, a nostalgic turn-based strategy game, will now launch in 2026 instead of its initially planned release this year. This marks the second postponement for the game, which was first rescheduled from the second quarter of 2025.
In light of the delay, the developers have released a demo for players, available on Steam. The demo provides access to a tutorial and three singleplayer modes with four out of the planned six factions included. You can explore without any time limits.
“We’d love to hear your thoughts after trying the demo,” the developers said, welcoming feedback that could help refine the game ahead of its early access release. Fans can also connect on the Unfrozen Discord.
