As launch day for Battlefield 6 draws near, anticipation builds within the gaming community. However, this excitement is intertwined with concern about the game’s server performance. Notorious for issues at launch in previous titles, the franchise has left many hopeful yet wary of a repeat scenario.
Lead producer David Sirland has expressed optimism regarding the server capabilities. He stated, “Should be! We are planning for that, of course, and the open beta helped gauge the interest as well.” This reassurance comes after the open beta exposed the game to high player volumes, including experiences with long queues.
The beta also provided important insights into player engagement, helping the team prepare for the influx expected at launch. While uncertainties remain, Sirland’s comments suggest that EA is more prepared than in the past, aiming for a smoother transition into the full release.
