Vereesa Windrunner to Make a Comeback in Upcoming World of Warcraft Patch

The return of the lesser-known Windrunner sister promises to impact WoW's narrative dynamics significantly.

Vereesa Windrunner is set to return in the upcoming World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7, linking the narratives of The War Within and Midnight. Although Blizzard has not officially confirmed it, data from the Midnight alpha indicates her inclusion in the patch, nicknamed “Visions of a Shadowed Sun.”

About Vereesa Windrunner

Among the three Windrunner sisters, Vereesa often gets the least attention, having appeared in Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Legion, and Battle for Azeroth. She was largely overshadowed by her siblings. Even Alleria has received more spotlight than her, especially with the recent developments in the lore.

Patch 11.2.7 Updates

The latest data suggests Vereesa will take on a more prominent role than she has in recent years, alongside Alleria’s son, Arator. A new character model and in-game cinematic are also expected, according to datamining efforts. Questlines might see players traveling to Oztan Isle to uncover startling revelations linked to Vereesa’s recent visions.

As additional evidence, two new achievements titled “Visions of a Shadowed Sun” and “Ready for Midnight” have shown up in the game interface, hinting at an integrated story chapter, further establishing her significance in the upcoming narrative advancements.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating Vereesa’s return, hoping for deeper exploration of her character and experiences as her family collectively returns to the forefront of World of Warcraft lore.
