Thank Goodness: Hell Let Loose to Feature Only 'Historically Accurate' Frogs

Developers assure players that the new Hell Let Loose will focus on authentic representations of frogs to enhance immersion.

It’s a fantastic era for fans of historical narratives in video games. The upcoming Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, a sequel to the acclaimed World War 2 shooter, promises a commitment to historical accuracy.

According to PC Gamer, Creative Director Matt White emphasized the importance of authenticity in the game’s development. “All of it is a hundred-percent historically accurate,” said White, asserting that every element, from uniforms to environmental details, has been carefully researched.

In a world of advanced game engines, he highlighted how crucial it is to rid the game of anachronisms, even down to the frogs that inhabit the game. The aim is to portray an authentic Vietnam atmosphere, focusing on historical integrity.

“These amphibians don’t even know what Netflix is and the only thought in their heads is whether they’re for Carter or Ford."—Matt White

The team even took the initiative to record gun sounds at the Royal Armouries, ensuring they deliver a true sense of historical immersion.
