Major Changes to Crafting Incoming
Exciting updates are coming for the crafting systems in Diablo 4, as Blizzard gets ready for its next expansion, set to release next year.
The changes aim to improve the crafting mechanics, addressing player feedback about the current systems of tempering and masterworking. These features were intended to enhance gameplay versatility but have instead become a source of frustration due to their reliance on luck.
With a significant overhaul on the horizon, players hope Blizzard will aim to simplify these systems, adopting a more deterministic approach similar to what other games like Path of Exile have done.
Blizzard’s director of social and content marketing, Adam Fletcher, has hinted at forthcoming updates regarding Masterworking and Tempering, including adjustments to combat mechanics and overall game renown. More details are expected to emerge soon as the new update hits the public test realm (PTR).
“In the coming weeks, we will begin highlighting PTR changes coming very soon… there is a lot of big items to cover including Masterworking/Tempering changes, Combat & Renown updates + more!”
“Within the next few weeks, we are planning to outline significant changes in our next PTR release.”
Stay tuned for further updates as Blizzard continues to shape the future of Diablo 4, especially as a new expansion approaches.
