PGL Changes Venue for Krakow 2027 Amid Cancellations

PGL announces a venue change for the upcoming Krakow 2027 due to a cancellation by TAURON Arena, emphasizing their commitment to host the event.

The tournament organizer was expected to return to Krakow, Poland after a decade, but the venue has canceled the booking. PGL stated that their commitment to host an event during January 13-25, 2027 remains strong, and they are currently looking for an alternative venue.

“This abrupt decision disappoints PGL and the Counter-Strike community. Despite this setback, our commitment remains, and a PGL CS2 Event will still take place from January 13 to 25, 2027. We are actively seeking a new venue that recognizes the significance of esports and embraces its global audience.”

PGL had scheduled this event as a significant milestone, marking their return after the 2017 PGL Major, where Gambit emerged victorious against Immortals in the finals. The upcoming event is set to be at a location with sufficient capacity to accommodate esports fans.

PGL’s ongoing search for a venue highlights their dedication to delivering a premier esports event despite the recent challenges.
