Bungie has recently confirmed the dates for the next playtest of Marathon, which is a reboot of its well-known extraction shooter series. Following the previous alpha test held in April, this closed playtest aims to gather player feedback and will run from October 22 to October 28. Players can now apply for a slot on Bungie’s official website.
The session will require participants to agree to a nondisclosure agreement. Bungie emphasized that this upcoming playtest will include several enhancements based on feedback from the alpha iteration. Key features under testing include new maps, character shells, adjustments to combat pacing, and richer storytelling environments.
Bungie’s statement highlighted that while the playtest is a crucial step for improving the game, it will not represent the complete experience intended for the full release.
