Multiple live shows and concerts celebrating video game music have taken place over the years, with some focusing on specific franchises like Final Fantasy’s Distant Worlds. Originally scheduled to tour Europe before coming to the US, it has been confirmed by GEA Live, the event’s organizer, that all US performances for PlayStation: The Concert in 2025 have been canceled.

Fans showed concern when some emails hinted at cancellations, expecting it to affect only a few shows; however, they later learned of the total cancellation for the US dates, with no specific reason provided. The first concert was set to occur on October 11 in New York City at The Theater at Madison Square Garden.

The lack of detailed explanations for these cancellations has spurred speculation about potential issues such as poor ticket sales, though some venues had reported good ticket sales. An upcoming US tour is tentatively scheduled for January 2026, with further dates promised soon.

As expressed on social media, many fans are disappointed, especially those who traveled and incurred costs for lodging. They hope the 2026 shows proceed as planned, enabling them to experience live renditions of the renowned video game soundtracks.
