Doug Cockle Shares His Return as Geralt: A Comfortable Reunion
Doug Cockle discusses his experience reprising the role of Geralt for Netflix's animated film, describing how it feels like returning to a familiar place.
Doug Cockle returns as the voice of Geralt in Netflix’s animated film, Sirens of the Deep. He describes this experience as “like slipping into a warm bath,” further solidifying his connection with the character he has portrayed in various Witcher installations.
“It’s always lovely to step back into Geralt’s shoes,” says Cockle, as he reflects on the different projects involving the character since The Witcher 3.
Cockle emphasizes that returning to this role for animation provided new challenges, focusing on making Geralt more expressive vocally. He humorously recalls, “Geralt doesn’t yell!” as he adapted to the requirements of the animated format.
The animated film brings together the beloved characters Geralt and Jaskier, based on the works of Andrzej Sapkowski, premiering today as a 90-minute adventure.
