The upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to release in just under six weeks, and Treyarch Studios is keeping fans on their toes with hints of remastered Black Ops 2 maps as part of the game’s post-launch offerings. While the initial launch will present several new maps, anticipation grows for what players can expect based on recent teasers from the developers.
At launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will feature 18 Multiplayer maps, including 13 new 6v6 battlefields, two for 20v20 Skirmish, and three remastered maps from Black Ops 2. Currently confirmed for the post-launch lineup are maps like Express, Raid, and Hijacked.
Treyarch Hints at Map Vertigo
The recently begun Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 beta allows fans to preview new maps, but no remastered maps are included in this version. However, Treyarch has teased classic maps for future content, with hints at the return of Vertigo, originally released in Black Ops 2.
Although no specific dates have been announced for the first season, it’s expected to kick off in December, after the game launches on November 14. Excitingly, the remastered Nuketown 2025 has been confirmed to be released shortly after the game goes live. If history is any guide, players may see it available within just a week of launch.
Open Beta Scheduled
Fans eager to partake in the action can look forward to an open beta starting on October 5, running through October 8 on various platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This beta offers a valuable preview experience and allows Treyarch to gather crucial player feedback ahead of the official launch.
